BDL specialise in painting and maintenance in the Social Housing Sector and specifically work as the Main Contractor for a number of different Housing Associations.  Our Company carries out their Cyclical and External Painting & Maintenance Programmes, Refurbishment Works and Void Contracts.

The type of contracts we undertake within this sector vary considerably. It is mainly tenanted houses or flats but also includes special or managed schemes for the elderly, or for those with learning difficulties or drug and/or mental health problems.  Again, we hold the Public & Employers Liability Insurance and offer either free estimates or quotations. 

In this sector, however, tendering is the normal form of pricing work and we are fully familiar with this process.  We are also familiar with using a schedule of rates.

We provide a range of painting and general maintenance works as stated in more detail in the private sector information. All our gas works are carried out by Corgi registered installers and our electrical works are up to NICEIC and Part-P standards. Additionally we also carry out paperhanging, including the handling Muraspec and other extra wide materials and an array of spray painting techniques for communal areas.

Another thing that we offer our clients is a full clearance and cleaning service.  We will gain access to a property which is void, clear out all the rubbish, furniture etc and clean the property thoroughly ready for a new tenant.   The cleaning service we provide includes clearing away any hypodermic needles, blood, bodily fluids, excrement or environmentally unsafe materials etc, which may be present, and we dispose of these in the appropriate manner.  We do this type of work in an extremely safe way, using the necessary personal, protective equipment and our labour are innoculated against hepatitis B.
